Well, according to the comments posted on What do you truly desire? , the consensus is that women prefer the initial contact to be a non-sexual message and that dick pics, sparse profiles, and one-liners are major turn-offs.

Since I don't like auto-reply, I respond to 95% of my messages. Hi or Hello with nothing else, except the ubiquitous 'sexy', are just as annoying to me as the crude, sexist ones. They both waste my time

Why do guys act this way? Yes, one can easily say because they are idiots! They have no class or have no understanding on how to approach someone by speaking to them in a polite manner. But I ask again, why? Why try this dumb ass approach to getting into a womans pants or whatever she is wearing, while he is perceiving her with nothing at all.
I believe it boils down to the fact that for as many women dislike this approach that some men insist on using, there are women who accept this approach and entertain this way from a guy. The lunk head who acts this way chooses not to use his brain to speak to someone of the opposite sex. All he wants is to give into his horny desire. He probably figures if I put out what i will do for them or how he will make them feel (don't believe this bullshit, all he wants to do is get his rocks off) that they couldn't resist his advances.
They may even think....since they are home in front of their pc, probably in their underware, what do they have to lose? All it takes is that one woman who falls for this. Don't say that there are no women who fall for it because why else would a guy continue to do this if no one would accept his unwanted advances. As soon as one woman falls for this approach, men will continue to chase them this way.
Don't fall for this crap from a guy. So what if you may be horny and just want to get laid. Make him work for it.
