AN INTERVIEW WITH 4PLAYLIST
Very recently @4playlist_Sugswt, a female blogger from the American state of Arizona, kindly agreed to be interviewed by me. To find out why she likes trampolining, why she won't do blood play any more and why she got hospitalised after having sex by a lake, please read her very interesting answers to the interview questions below.
❓1. When and why did you join this site and, in particular, when and why did you decide to blog?
First off, I would like to say thank you to spunky for giving me the opportunity to tell y’all a little bit about myself. It was very kind of him to think of me.
I joined this site back in 2020 when lockdowns and extended periods at home changed the whole dating dynamic. I had been curious about online dating and it seemed like the perfect time to explore. Not sure how I came across AFF, but the site’s chat rooms seemed to offer a safe and fun avenue for social interaction. It wasn’t something I’d ever tried before, so I really had no clue how to do it, or what to expect. I found much difficulty in navigating the ins and outs, ups and downs (no pun intended), and pros and cons of engaging with people in a virtual-type setting. So ultimately it led to my departure from the site for about a year. When I came back I discovered the Community side and blogging section, which was something new to me. It seemed to be a much better platform for delving into more in-depth conversations, compared to the chat rooms on the Dating side. Also, I like to write, so I figured blogging would be a good creative outlet for me.
❓2. How successful has your search for what you're looking for been on this site? How many people have you met up with from this site? And, how many from this site have you had sex with?
Since I joined during the pandemic, meeting someone was not my main goal, and I really had no expectations. These days I am more open to the possibility of meeting someone, but it’s not a priority. So, I can’t really say it’s been successful or not successful in that regard, but it’s definitely been a learning experience. I personally find it difficult to date someone casually, or interact with someone virtually, without first developing a connection. I think the term is demisexual, I simply call it getting to know someone, but I may be too old-fashioned in my thinking. I’ve done the whole cybersex thing, but that can get repetitive and tiresome very fast. There needs to be other interests and a willingness to engage on multiple levels. For me that means sexually, emotionally, and intellectually. There have only been a select few that I have trusted enough to chat with off site. I can count them on one hand and have fingers to spare. I have met just one person. No actual in person sexual encounters with anyone from here ... yet. Again, I am open to the possibility.
❓3. What three words would you use and what three words would a close friend or partner use to describe your personality?
Passionate, intelligent, compassionate. Stubborn, loving, empathic.
❓4. From your username, your profile on the Dating side and your blog posts, it is clear you love music. Why is music so important to you? Do you play any musical instruments and, if so, what instruments? And what's been the best gig (live musical concert/performance) you've been to, and why?
Ahh music ... it resonates with our memories and feelings in such a profound way. Music more than anything, became my source of solace at a very young age. It served as a sort of healing balm that provided me with emotional comfort, security, and peace. As a child, I can recall a lot of chaos In my home. The best way to combat this was for my older siblings to take me and my little brother outside to our treehouse to listen to music and read books. Sometimes my brother would read us his latest comic book or sci-fi novel, or we’d listen to the Top 40 countdown, waiting for the number one song to be revealed. I have many fond memories of those interactions, but it’s the music that I remember most. The simple act of sharing music was such a compassionate and loving way for them to bond with us, primarily because it helped all of us manage emotions during a very stressful time. But also because the atmosphere was resonant with a feeling that things were going to be okay. To be effected by art in this way is one of the things that (for me) gives life true meaning. And, I am in awe that something so lovely, rare and powerful exists. I am also grateful that my Mom made my sister and I take piano lessons. It helped us learn how to read music early on. Additionally, I played the flute, clarinet and tried the alto sax and drums for a very short period in High School. I started to teach myself guitar, but I’m ashamed to say that my CP Parlor acoustic guitar is currently gathering dust in my closet. Probably got my first contact high during the Spring of ‘95, rocking out to a German band, LOL. My sister had won tickets to a Scorpions show in Phoenix. And despite the fact that the vehicle we took was tiny, had no air conditioning, and it was a three-hour drive one way, we still managed to have a blast.
❓5. What sort of things do you like doing in your spare time?
I enjoy reading, dancing, writing, walking my pup, hiking, swimming, working out, and going to concerts and festivals whenever I get a chance. Over the last year, I took an interest in visiting old mining towns in AZ [Arizona], but so far I’ve only been to Goldfield Ghost Town. I’ve also tried my hand at gardening, but I don’t particularly have a green thumb for it.
❓6. What is your favourite book, song, movie and television show? And why are they your favourites?
There are way too many to note here, so I’ll shorten the list as much as I can, providing a description for just a few.
🔹

Wish You Were Here - the trippy music of some guy named Pink Floyd, (which one is Pink? LOL). My sister’s influence. They are my all-time favorite band, and one of my desert island picks.

NOVELS/BOOKS:
The Stand - took me about four days to read this Stephen King tome, back in HS [high school]. Stayed up for almost two days straight, it scared me so badly.
The Last of the Mohicans - the harrowing adventures, and undying loyalty and bravery between Cooper’s characters, has always stayed with me. Later it was adapted into a movie starring Daniel Day Lewis, whom I also absolutely adore.
•Peter Matthiessen's The Snow Leopard a quote, if I may - “The sun glints through the pines and the heart is pierced in a moment of beauty and strange pain, like a memory of paradise. After that day, we become seekers.”

❓7. What were you like as a kid? And when a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Well, with three brothers, I was kind of a tomboy. Wild and feral and free, LOL. There were five of us, and from the age of seven, my mother was the only parent in the household. I was smart, athletic and did well in school. I was not a very popular kid, but I got along with almost everyone. That changed somewhat in the sixth grade, as I was one of the first girls to develop. I absolutely despised the attention it garnered until I hit I6. I was in all the advanced classes, which came relatively easy for me, except math. I really had to work my butt off to pull decent grades in math. It paid off too, because by my senior year I had all my credits, and was assigned as a teachers aid and library assistant for the majority of the day. I ran track my sophomore year, then decided I liked cheerleading better. For awhile, I was very interested in becoming a lawyer or working in some aspect of the legal field. I also toyed with the idea of becoming a veterinarian, but priorities changed and neither of those materialized. The work I do now is very challenging, but rewarding.
❓8. If you could give your younger self some advice, what would it be?
Trust your instincts. I can’t count the number of times when I’ve based a decision on analytics instead of instinctual reactions to situations, and regretted it. I’ve learned that relying on my own inherent understanding of things, in most cases, alleviated a lot of worrying and uncertainty. Trusting in my own intuition at an earlier age would have potentially saved me a lot of heartache, allowing me more quality time with loved ones and deepening my emotional connections.
❓9. What is your favourite sex position? And why is this position your favourite?
Seated on my partner's lap with both of us embracing one another in an upright position. I like being able to see my partner’s expressions ... to watch his eyes as they fill with desire. That non-verbal communication through touch and observation is absolutely intoxicating. Penetration is also much deeper in this position ... a partner’s hard, swollen girth much more pleasurable.
❓10. What's been your your best orgasm? And when, where, who with (if accompanied), and why?
Camping in the middle of October on a first date with a special someone, who would eventually become my second longest relationship. When I’ve looked back on that night (which I often do), I remember a mix of different sensations. The contrast of the cold weather and the heat of our bodies ... the natural ruggedness of camping, combined with the sound of his sweet sexy voice reciting poetry to me ... the bulge growing in his jeans, completely betraying his calm, cool laid-back demeanor. It created this enticing and sensual experience, which I found to be utterly irresistible. That was the first time I felt completely uninhibited in taking the initiative. Losing myself in wild abandon, only to discover myself and part of my sexual identity through multiple orgasms. It proved to be a positively delicious and undeniably powerful experience.
❓11. Where has been the most unusual place you've had sex?
I think the term unusual is subjective. What one might consider unusual or strange, another might consider commonplace. These may sound a bit cliché to some, but to me they were places that I found to be highly arousing. They are not listed in any particular order: in a haunted, abandoned warehouse; in a pool on a rooftop; on a running, but stationary motorcycle; on the grassy steps of an amphitheater; in truck stop shower facilities; in a tent, camping in the woods; on a Park picnic table; and on a trampoline.
❓12. Roughly, how many people have you had penetrative sex with? And what's the most number of times you've had sex in one day? What's the most number of people you've had sex with in one day?
I don’t really keep track, but I can say that the majority of them happened later in my life, and within a three-year period of time. Up until that point, I’d only ever been with my husband, who was also my high school sweetheart. I will add that I am very conscious of who I choose to share my body with, so my number is not very high. A weekend getaway did provide for the perfect set-up to indulge in all sorts of sexual play. I’d say we had sex upwards of five times in a single day. I’ve had a few threesomes, so total number of people I’ve had sex with in one day is two.
❓13. Have you had sex with more than two people involved? If so, what type or types of group sex have you been involved in?
I’ve been to a couple of sex parties with a partner, and although I’ve never participated in an orgy, I find that sexually charged-type of atmosphere highly intriguing. I’ve participated in two separate and successful threesomes. An MFF, and an MFM scenario. It would’ve been three, but my very first attempt at a ménage a trois ended in disaster. The other two I did enjoy, and I’m guessing that had a lot to do with my then partner, timing and circumstances.
❓14. On your Dating profile you list many kinks including "Rough Sex", "Blindfolds", "Bondage", "Collar and Lead/Leash", "Domination/Sub/Switch", "Handcuffs/Shackles", "Role Playing", "Sadism/Masochism" and "Spanking/Paddling/Whips". It seems clear you enjoy many aspects of BDSM. Why do you like BDSM? Are you a dom, sub or switch? And what's been the most unusual BDSM act that you have done?
I’m sure there are very complex and multifaceted reasons for why I enjoy aspects of BDSM. Some of which, I won’t be able to fully explain. But, I do know that I enjoy the power dynamic and sensory stimulation that comes into play. It’s also fun for me to 'switch' things up, to enhance the experience for both me and a partner. So, I can be submissive to a dominant personality when necessary, and vice versa. I don’t have a lot of experience as a domme. But for me, personally, it’s all about being mindful of the vulnerability of another soul ... learning how to creatively navigate someone’s boundaries ... and exploring and harnessing the primal urges that arise within each other. That feeling of letting go and tapping into a very primal force with someone can be both scary and exciting. And, the power that embodies the actual act of dominance over a partner can be a real turn on for me. It’s also about knowing yourself, but mostly it’s about trust and consent. And, it takes time to cultivate that trust. The amount of communication that is needed for this type of interaction has only deepened the emotional intimacy in my relationships. And for me, that sexual connection must have an emotional connection as well. As far as unusual BDSM acts, I’ll give this as an example, only because it tends to elicit a sort of surprised reaction when I’ve mentioned it to others. A past partner of mine found blood play to be very erotic and sensual. He liked to use a finger knife to prick the skin and draw blood. I allowed it one time, in which he was only permitted to pierce my neck. I found that the experience put me into almost immediate sub space. But, due to risk and safety concerns, and the amount of planning and preparation that needed to go into the interaction, I decided it was not something I wanted to continue.
❓15. What has been your most embarrassing sexual moment?
Sex after a day at the lake. Mind you this was in the valley (Saguaro Lake, Mesa, Arizona) in the middle of summer, where 100 degree temperatures are the norm. I quickly found out that drinking beer, and very little water, is not a very smart combination in that kind of heat. Moral of the story: Don’t attempt strenuous activity, when you are pretty much dehydrated, in 100 degree weather, or you’ll end up in the hospital with heatstroke, LOL.
❓16. Are there any sexual acts that you have not tried that you would like to do? Have there been any sexual acts that you have tried that you'd never do again? And what sexual act, which you've done, would have most shocked you had you known when you were first sexually active?
I believe I am a sexually adventurous person, so I have tried most of the things that interest me. That being said, I think it’s important to keep exploring. One thing I’ve always wanted to do is vacation at a sex resort. I’d like to take some time pursuing that hedonistic lifestyle of seeking out all things pleasurable and satisfying. I'm certain it would be an interesting experience. I think I’ve mentioned two things I wouldn’t do again already, LOL. If I had to choose one, it would be the blood play. I was shocked to find out that anal sex, under the right circumstances, can be highly enjoyable.
❓17. What is your most treasured possession, and why is it the most treasured?
I am not big on owning possessions.
Having a lot of things doesn’t necessarily mean one is abundant. But, say there was an emergency, and I had time to pick only one possession ... then I would pick my music box. This is special because it was given to me by my mother. I cherish this item most because it’s a reminder of her strength, love and beauty, and it provides a sense of comfort and stability for me in times of distress. My Mom has since passed, but her memory is always with me.
❓18. What is your perfect three-course meal? And what drink would you have with the meal?
Manchego croquetas with smoked pimentón aioli as an appetizer. Chimichurri lamb chops for the entrée, with a dry Lambrusco, such as Cleto Chiarli. And for dessert, pantxineta, which is a puff pastry dough with almonds, filled with cream and decorated with powdered sugar.
❓19. If you could invite three famous people, dead or alive, to join you at a dinner party, who would you invite?
•Hypatia of Alexandria (renowned philosopher, mathematician and astronomer)
•Jane Goodall (pioneer in anthropology and primatology)
•Stephen Hawking (esteemed theoretical physicist, cosmologist and author).
❓20. As the last question, please can you volunteer three bits of information about yourself that haven't been covered in this interview?
I think most know from my profile that I am a widow. Let’s see ... both my parents passed several years ago. My Mom in 2010, and my Dad in 2009. I have raised three beautiful children on my own, and they are my pride and joy! And last, but by far not least, I am a cancer survivor.
